30 years of PCRL!
It was Monday the 21st of June 1993 when Hercules Avramopoulos received Digital Photonic Technology Research Equipment, as a generous donation from AT&T Bell Laboratories, USA.
With this equipment the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory was established in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering – NTUA. PCRL officially opened in September 1995, but the idea of its creation goes even before 1993.
