<p>We are pleased and proud to announce that the scientific paper entitled: <strong>“EmoSocioGraph: A Knowledge Graph that tracks the development of social and emotional competencies of K12 students”</strong> received the <strong>Best Paper Award</strong> at the <strong>15th IEEE Integrated STEM Education Conference (ISEC) 2025</strong>, held at <strong>Princeton University</strong>, New Jersey, USA.</p>



<p>The paper was co-authored by members of the <strong>NETMODE Laboratory</strong> of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), National Technical University of Athens (NTUA): <strong>Eleni Fotopoulou</strong>, <strong>Anastasios Zafeiropoulos</strong>, <strong>Lydia Mavraidi</strong>, and <strong>Symeon Papavassiliou</strong>.</p>



<p>We extend our <strong>warmest congratulations</strong> to <strong>PhD candidates, Eleni Fotopoulou </strong>and<strong> Lydia Mavraidi</strong>, and <strong>Postdoctoral Researcher Anastasios Zafeiropoulos</strong>, for their outstanding contribution to this achievement.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Climate-resilient regions through systemic solutions and innovations</h2>



<p><a href="https://arsinoe-project.eu/">ARSINOE</a> shapes the pathways to resilience by bringing together Systems Innovation Approach (SIA) and Climate Innovation Window (CIW), to build an ecosystem for climate change adaptation solutions. Within the ARSINOE ecosystem, pathways to solutions are co-created and co-designed by stakeholders, who can then select either existing CIW technologies, or technologies by new providers (or a combination) to form an innovation package. ARSINOE applies a three-tier, approach: (a) using SIA it integrates multi-faceted technological, digital, business, governance and environmental aspects with social innovation for the development of adaptation pathways to climate change for specific regions; (b) it links with CIW to form innovation packages by matching innovators with end-users/regions; (c) it fosters the ecosystem sustainability and growth with cross-fertilization and replication across regions and scales, at European level and beyond, using specific business models, exploitation and outreach actions. The ARSINOE approach is show-cased in nine widely varied demonstrators, as a proof-of-concept with regards to its applicability, replicability, potential and efficacy.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Learning-Driven and Evolved Radio for 6G Communication Systems </h2>



<p>6G-LEADER aims at evolving the PHY and RAN aspects of 6G communication networks by relying on the following pillars: 1) MLempowered PHY algorithms with predictive capabilities towards fully autonomous operation; 2) full-duplex transceivers employing novel sparse antenna arrays and advanced digital self-interference cancellation; 3) non-orthogonal and random multiple access schemes to accommodate mass connectivity demands of users and machines; 4) goal-oriented semantic communications; and 5) an open and disaggregated RAN implementation with xApps integrating the advancements, achieved during the project’s lifetime.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Green Technologies for 5/6G Service-Based Architectures</h2>



<p>The 6Green project aims to conceive, design, and realize an innovative service-based and holistic ecosystem, able to extend “the communication infrastructure into a sustainable, interconnected, greener end-to-end intercompute system” and promote energy efficiency across the whole 5/6G value-chain. The ultimate objective is to enable and to foster 5/6G networks and vertical applications reducing their carbon footprint by a factor of 10 or more. To achieve this objective, the project will exploit and extend state-of-the-art cloud-native technologies and the B5G Service-Based Architecture with new cross-domain enablers. 6Green will provide stakeholders with flexible and green Artificial Intelligence mechanisms that will allow propagating the environment impact to any players acting on virtual domains, and triggering zero-touch operations according to customizable energy- and carbon-aware policies, allowing to optimally use renewable energy sources. The project will deliver three future-proof use-case applications that will provide a diverse awareness of the green capabilities of the 6Green platform.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">European level 6G Flagship project</h2>



<p>Hexa-X-II is a flagship European 6G project, with the ambition of designing a holistic 6G network platform and system towards achieving sustainability, trustworthiness, green deal efficiency, and digital inclusion, while inspiring the world for digital transformation through novel 6G services. Hexa-X-II will work, beyond enabler-oriented research, to optimized systemization, early validation, and proof-of-concept; work will progress from the 6G key enablers that connect the human, physical, and digital worlds, as explored in Hexa-X, to advanced technology readiness levels, including key aspects of modules / protocols / interfaces / data. Hexa-X II includes: (a) the provision of advanced / refined use cases, services, and requirements, ensuring value for society; (b) the delivery of the 6G platform blueprint, which will encompass enhanced connectivity for 6G services, mechanisms realizing the “networks beyond communications” vision (sensing, computing, trustworthy AI), efficient network management schemes; (c) the realization of extended validation at system and component level; (d) actions for global impact, while assuring strategic autonomy in critical areas for the EU.
